Antarctica InSync Implementation Workshop – Application for Participation

The application for participation is now open for the Antarctica InSync Implementation Workshop, which will take place from 10–13 November 2026 at the European Space Agency (ESA-ESRIN) in Frascati, Italy.

The workshop is organized by Antarctica InSync, with the support of the European Space Agency (ESA), reflecting the growing collaboration between ESA and the international Antarctic research community in advancing coordinated observations and long-term environmental monitoring. While hosted at ESA-ESRIN, the workshop will cover the full breadth of Antarctica InSync activities, bringing together experts from across scientific disciplines, observing infrastructures, data management, logistics, and policy.

Participants will work together to advance the implementation of Antarctica InSync through collaborative planning, the development of community-driven Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), coordinated observing activities, and the strengthening of international partnerships. The workshop will also provide an opportunity to shape future priorities and foster collaboration across the global Antarctic observing community.

Participation is free of charge; however, attendance is limited and participants will be selected through an application process to ensure broad scientific, geographic, and stakeholder representation.
