Hosted by APECS Germany as part of their Let’s Talk series, two webinars introducing Antarctica InSync were co-organised by the Antarctica InSync Early Career Coordination Group and supported by the Antarctica InSync Coordination Team on 28 and 29 July 2026. Two sessions were offered to accommodate participants across different time zones.
The strong international response reflected the growing interest in Antarctica InSync, with more than 200 registrations from students, PhD candidates, and postdoctoral researchers representing New Zealand, Chile, Australia, Italy, the USA, Germany, Belgium, the UK, the Netherlands, Spain, Poland, France, Brazil, Switzerland, Sweden, South Africa, Canada, and even Antarctica.
The webinars introduced the vision and objectives of Antarctica InSync, highlighted opportunities for early career researchers to get involved, and sparked engaging discussions during the Q&A sessions. We sincerely thank APECS Germany, APECS International, and everyone who participated for making these events such a success. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and engaging the next generation of polar researchers in Antarctica InSync.
